Master Sand Sculptors from across the U.S. will compete in paired teams for Thousands in prize money. Other events connected to the competition will take place, as well. Those activities, including live music and food and retail vendors in a “vendor village” setting are also a part of the festival. Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Various on line discount available with various ticket packages including reserved private parking. November 9 – 18, 2018: It’s the Englewood Beach Waterfest, Englewood’s version of the Sarasota Offshore Grand Prix Super Boat Racing Fest.  Numerous events include: Paddlefest, Block Party, The Family Conservation Center, OPA/APBA Offshore World Championship. On the racing card are multiple classes of high speed offshore racing boats, vying for awards, off Engelwood Beach. A Race Boat block party takes place Friday evening, Nov. 16 starting at 5 p.m. on Dearborn Street with the street lined with race boats and In the park there will be music, food and drinks along with vendors. Free admission to the block party. Racing is both Saturday and Sunday and awards ceremonies after the races at 7 p.m. in the Race Village. November 10, 2018: It’s time for a brew! The Beer, Boats and Bacon Fest will feature over 60+ craft beers to sample with the General Admission & VIP Ticket. Throughout the event there will be various bacon bites and samples from local restaurants and caterers plus more food available for purchase from over 15 vendors. November 10, 2018: Enjoy the 17th Annual Suncoast Food & Wine Festival featuring unlimited sampling of fare from dozens of Suncoast Restaurants. Also enjoy wines and craft beers with live entertainment. There will also be cooking demonstrations and a grand prize drawing at the end of the event. 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Free parking. Rain or shine. November 10, 2018: It’s A Musical Event in the Key of Sea: Symphony on the Sand will return to Coquina Gulfside Park and provide the opportunity for you to enjoy the award-winning Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra (a 45-piece orchestra) during sunset on Anna Maria Island as well as wine, beer and the best delicacies from the top area restaurants. November 10 – 11, 2018: It’s the 30th Annual St. Armand’s Circle Fall Art Festival around Circle Park. Usually held under sunny skies, with warm temperatures, this outdoor festival on my Sarasota Calendar of Events is attended by thousands of art lovers who come to see and buy the works of artists from around the nation. Admission is free, as is parking. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
November 10 – 11, 2018: Check out the Vintage and Collectibles Fair with lots of exhibitors with everything from antiques, books, collectibles, linens and more. Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Adults $3 for the entire weekend, kids 12 and under free. Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 801 N. Tamiami Trail.
November 10 – 11, 2018: For some old time fun check out the annual Sarasota Medieval Fair. There’s jousting, human combat chess tournaments, rides and games along with food and drinks from turkey legs to hearty ales. November 11, 2018: You can salute local vets during the Sarasota Veterans’ Day Parade. The Parade, hosted by the City of Sarasota in conjunction with the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee, will begin at 10 a.m. at Main Street and Osprey Avenue and will end at approximately 11 a.m. at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park at the corner of Main Street and Gulfstream Avenue where a ceremony will be held. The theme is: “All gave some. Some gave all.”
November 15 – 17, 2018: You’re invited to enjoy the 25th Annual Christmas in Pinecraft Arts & Crafts Festival with all local and USA made gifts from over 40 area artists. Vendors feature pottery, jewelry, beautiful handmade wood bowls, fiber art, hand crafted note cards, crochet items, wreaths, and much more.

November 17, 2018: It’s the LWR running Club’s Turkey Trot Thanksgiving-themed 5K with turkey-themed volunteers, turkey water stop and turkey music. Great Awards plus all participants receive a moisture-wicking Leslie Jordan shirt including children. All participants will finish to a great after party with food and beverages supplied from local restaurants and participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Manatee County. November 18, 2018: Giddy up, giddy up! It’s the 27th Annual Ponies under the Palms benefit car show featuring Mustangs and other Ford cars. (For auto exhibitors: $25 to register your car for the show, $30 day of show. Check in is 8:00 a.m. Award ceremony is at 3:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit Southeastern Guide Dogs and Take Stock in Children. November 21, 2018: It’s the Annual Thanksgiving Eve Siesta Key Village Turkey Trot Pub Crawl! Packed with thousands the crawl has become a popular event with the village’s “watering holes” offering specials. 9 p.m. – ? Ocean Blvd., Siesta Key Village, FL.
November 22, 2018: It’s the 9th Annual Thanksgiving Morning Turkey Trot 5K across the Ringling Bridge. Organized by ALSO Youth, the race begins at the Hyatt and crosses the Ringling Bridge. November 24, 2018: It’s the 34th annual Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade. Enjoy the Christmas Tree at the Village Gazebo, Santa’s arrival, live music, and other entertainment. The Village Holiday Parade will begin at Avenida del Mare and Beach Road at 5:30 p.m. traveling north on Beach Road onto Ocean Blvd. into the Village. Many businesses and local groups will be participating in the parade and the welcoming of Santa to Siesta Village. Santa will arrive at the Siesta Center at approximately 6:15 PM to greet all children.
November 24, 2018: It’s the kickoff to the Sun Coast’s holiday season with The Venice Holiday Parade which traditionally takes place the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving. The 43 year tradition continues when the annual Parade steps off at 7 p.m. on the streets of Historic Downtown Venice. With over 3 thousand participants representing about 120 local companies, schools, churches, social organizations and music groups, this is one of the biggest Holiday Parades along the Suncoast.
November 29, 2018: It’s your chance to enjoy “Deck the Halls at Ca’ d’Zan” on the grounds of the Ringling Museum.
